Popcorn Flood

One time I flooded my kitchen….. with popcorn. I was probably around seven, and I was home alone, my family was in Solvang. I was allowed to stay home as long as I had Belle, our big black german shepherd, with me at all times.
Suddenly I had an odd craving for popcorn. Mmmm Popcorn, I thought. I got up and walked into the kitchen. I pulled out a big pot, probably a foot tall and a foot wide. I sized up the pot. That seems big enough I thought. I pulled out a bag of kernels and emptied the whole thing into the pot. My little seven year old mind seemed to think that was the perfect amount. I turned up the heat and poured some oil onto the kernels.
Hmm… I thought where’s Belle? I got up and walked down the hall. I finally found her hiding in the back of the house and brought her back. As I walked into the kitchen I saw that the popcorn had spilled over the sides of the pot, onto the floor, in a pile about a foot high.
I automatically thought aw crap, my family’s going to be home in fifteen minutes! I grabbed a towel from the closet and swept all the popcorn onto it. I ran the towel outside and emptied it into a bush. I came back in and emptied the rest of the popcorn into the sink and washed it down the drain. I was scraping the burnt remains of the popcorn off the stove with a spatula, when my family walked through the doors.
I threw the spatula under the table and greeted them with a large grin on my face, hands behind my back, throwing off so much Oh don’t worry, I’m innocent aura I swear….. but, nothing ever happened.
Remember, it’s all in the face.

We are in Paris!

I am in Paris! I got here Monday and I'm leaving the day after.
On the third day we went to meet Viola at the train station, and we walked the whole way back. My mom said she got a headache, inside her headache.
The next day we were walking, when it just started pouring. We sat in a cafe to wait it out and apparently two mice had the same idea xD
(Video not available because my phone is stupid)

Just today we went to the Angelina cafe. It was really nice, but we had to wait in a long line. We were okay though..... we didn't die. We had the most rich hot chocolate you could ever have and I only had like one sip of it, because it was as thick as soup. Then we had a sugar rush and ran all the way back to the hotel

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Okay so Harry Potter land was great. I had butter beer and I thought it was awesome. Kinda like cream soda with whipped cream on top. Mmmmm ButterBeer. I am kind of only talking about myself, so sorry, because the rest of the post will probably be like this. Okay, onwards! When I passed through the castle, I sort of did that little "Tiny scream jump up and down" dance. It was pretty cool. I have to compliment them on their talking portraits. They were amazing and looked so much like a canvas I thought they really were talking photos (sort of). I was kind of disappointed with the newspaper photo, but hey, nothing can be perfect. I didn't go on any rides, because I might have been so excited that I would have accidentally broken one. We went to Ollivander's and I got a wand. I had to get tested like Harry Potter did, and I was so embarrassed. It was kind of overshot but hey, It was still awesome. One thing I didn't like is that you couldn't get little cages for the pygmy puffs or the owls. It kinda bummed me out. I got lots of stuff at the gift shops. (Half of it was because I wasn't getting anything, so my dad got it for me) It was pretty darn awesome.
List of Stuff:

Pink Pygmy Puff  For Viola (If she has one already, For Emma!)

Purple Pygmy Puff

Pink Pygmy Puff #2  For Tessa!

Wand (Birch, something or other inches, Dragon Heartstring I think?)

Time Turner (I wish it could work)

Owl (Heck yeah I got an owl!)

Pocket Sneakoscope

Notebook (It's my favorite)

Chocolate Frog

Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans

Dragon Playing Cards

Four Color Hogwarts Scarf

It's going to be so troublesome to pack :D

At the Airport

Okay, so I'm really excited about Harry Potter land and there may be a bunch of other posts before I actually get around to the review. Anyways I'm sitting in the airport dying of thirst and waiting for the plane. Yay. They have these really good waffles here. They kinda taste like cookies.
Mmmmm WaffleCookies

Recounts

  1. noun
    1.
  1. an act or instance of giving an account of an event or experience.
"one woman's recount of a prolonged battle with “huge centipedes.”"

Why do we write recounts? Because you want to share news or stories to people that don't know what happened

How do we organize a recount?

What is a personal recount? Retelling an event that you were personally involved in (whether you were included in the event or just simply saw it

What is a Factual recount? A factual recount is when you tell someone what happened, without adding any extra embellishments or small lies

Imaginative recount? An imaginative recount is telling something from another person's view (ex; a pirate) This type of recount could be completely made up, (ex; the pirate could have a magic toothbrush)

In what publications do we find recounts? Recounts are seen in newspaper articles, magazines, someones diary *cough*Quinn*cough*, blogs, TV show scripts, etc.

The Collie Dog

The the border collie ran towards the red barn, large piece of chicken hanging from his mouth. Even though it was raining, the moon was bright and the black and white collie could see some of the lanterns lit in the windows. The grass squelched under his feet and the red bandana around his neck was dripping with water. Dark mud splattered his feet and chest, but he ran forward, the dim glow coming from the barn, almost seeming to warm him. He leapt through the doors, startling several white chickens. He reached some hay and scraped it away from a large cardboard box. The collie dropped the chicken at the mouth of the box and poked his head inside. A brown, white, and black collie lay on the bottom of the box, surrounded by several multicolored puppies. The black and white collie almost seemed to smile.
